In the closely watched copyright brawl between appropriation artist Richard Prince and photographer Patrick Cariou now playing out in the federal appellate court in Manhattan, trade associations representing photo-licensing giants Corbis and Getty Images and 7000 photographers have submitted a "friend of the court" brief in support of Cariou.
